Jake Cowan

Jake Cowan currently serves as the Senior Program Manager for the Edge Initiative at the Urban Libraries Council. In this role, he directed a national coalition of leading library and local government organizations in developing public access technology benchmarks for the library field.  He led the coalition in launching a robust online toolkit that helps library staff use the benchmarks in strategic and technology planning, as well as in strengthening partnerships with local leaders.  Jake has an extensive background in research and community development organizations, where he led and expanded national community indicator and community development projects at The Urban Institute and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation.
